Task Setter FAQ
questions
answers
How do I pay for my advert?

You can either pay for the advert you wish to place by using funds in your Jodo account, which you may have received for completing a job for a job advertiser.

However should you not have a Jodo balance you can pay for your advertisment through PayPal a world wide recognised payment gateway.

How do I list a Job/Task?
Before you can set a job on Jodo you must:
Be a registered member.
Have a valid Paypal account

Click the 'Set a Job' button at the top of any Jodo page. Fill in the 'Create a Job' form, clicking on the 'Get it Done' button on completion.
How do I 'tie the knot'?
You cannot 'tie the knot' until the advertisment days have ended. Once the adverts time has elapsed you can select your Jodoer and 'tie the knot' (pay them for the task/info).  If you experience any problems tieing the knot, please make use of the site support feature in contact us.
How can I end my job immediately?
If needed, you can end your job before the scheduled closing date, providing there are no applications.
Your listing will end and will no longer be displayed on Jodo.
Is my job allowed on Jodo?
There are certain Jobs that should not be advertised on Jodo for legal reasons. Jodo reserves the right to end a Job if it breaches the Terms and Conditions. In such cases, Jodo will notify the Job Setter and Jodoer's via email.

Before you post your Job, please review Jodo's Terms and Conditions.
What are Jodo's Fees?
There are associated costs when listing a Job on Jodo. Please refer to the Jodo fees page a link to which can be found at the bottom of the all Jodo pages.
When creating a job, what should I put in the job title field?
The job title field needs to define the task you would like done or the question you would like answered.  You may want someone to clean your flat, therefore your job title would be "Cleaner needed to clean London flat" or you may want a famous persons telephone number "Supply of Simon Cowels mobile number" or you may be looking for the recommendation of a local plumber "Recommendation of a Norwich based plumber".  Always make sure your job title is as descriptive as possible.
Approve Applicants: Why would I want to do that?
This feature allows you to screen the applicants for your job before asking them to complete the work and is used when it would be unreasonable or impractical to ask the user to complete the job for you in the first instance.

For example: it's fairly common for advertisers on Jodo to simply request a piece of information, for example a recommendation or piece of general knowledge. In which case there is no need to require approval since the jodoers can simply provide the info and the first/best answer will be rewarded..

However, sometimes the application process might be more complex and it might be impractical for the applicants to perform the job in the first instance. For example, imagine if your job required the winning applicant to introduce you a potential new client or something practical like paint a fence, this is where the approval system comes in.
What if I change my mind?
You can cancel a job providing nobody has applied.  If Jodoers have applied for the job successfully you are contractually obliged to select and pay a candidate.
