About Jodo
An Introduction To Jodo

How does jodo.biz work?
It's simple. You want a job done, the answer to a question or something else you feel someone out in the world can provide. You post this task, (which we refer to as a job) on jodo.biz for a certain period of time, and ascribe a value to getting the answer. The individuals who carry out these jobs - whatever they may be - we refer to as JoDoers (Job Doers). The actual transaction in which money changes hands we have called a KNOT (KNOwledge Transaction).

For example:
You may want the walls plastered in your kitchen and are willing to pay £10 for someone local to recommend a great plasterer to you. Or, you may want to get hold of 10,000 individuals to accompany you to the Houses of Parliament on a demonstration against the lack of action Governments are taking with global warming, and are willing to pay £10 to up to 100 individuals to get you contacts. Or the answer to a question that's been bugging you. Or...the jobs are endless! You post this job (or all three!) on jodo.biz and sit back...

About JoDoers (Job Doers)
JoDo works because it's unlikely you will personally know a great plasterer; in the same way it's unlikely you will know 10,000 individuals to help you stop global warming. But, via JoDo, you are able to post your problem (the 'job you need doing') and mobilise hundreds of thousands of 'JoDoers' to get you the answer, then tie the 'KNOT' - the KNOwledge Transaction.

About KNOTS (Knowledge Transactions)
When you are happy with the answer you've received, you pay your JoDoer the fee for the KNOT (this is called tying the Knot). JoDo takes a fraction of the transaction (for hosting the process and allowing the knowledge interchange to happen) and PayPal takes a cut based on the transaction value.. Therefore if you ascribe a particular KNOT a value of £10 your total cost will be £10 + JoDo fee + PayPal fee).

About happily tying the KNOT.
I chose the KNOT acronym as in the UK, when a couple get married, they are referred to as 'tying the knot'. This is an action of mutual trust and respect between two parties, and should be taken seriously as you are entering into a mutual agreement. Feedback on JoDoers is provided in the same way as it is on eBay (which I have been a member of since July 1999) in terms of seller feedback and star ratings. So, if you get a bad answer to your knot, or it is clear there is a problem between the problem poser and the solver, there exists a self policing method of resolution. Obviously, as money is going to be involved, things aren't going to be problem free but I am of the view that people are generally honest and helpful, not dishonest and corrupt.

<<<However, please check out our Terms & Conditions which you will be required to acknowledge prior to becoming a JoDoer or posting a Job>>>

KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid!)
Anyway, enough about this. jodo.biz is simple, works - so why not give it a try? It's not going to cost you the Earth, and may get you YOUR job done.

So, welcome to jodo.biz As the little fat guy says, 'Light work, many hands make'.
